Before I left Hawaii, I felt like I was wasting my time surfing everyday. I felt like I should just move on because I was never that incredible at it and could do more good from the world just focusing on family and work or something. In one month of dedicated daily surfing in waves as suited to your ability as possible you will be doing well to progress to catching unbroken waves and riding them with some degree of control, and maybe starting to ride a slightly shorter board than you started on.
